This Chicago condominium is in a former bakery/apartment building built in 1936.  Much of the building had been renovated back in 1978.  We saw an opportunity to not only update this condo, but also restore it to some of its older glory.  We started by adding crown molding, base boards, door casings and replacing all the hollow doors with solid, multi-paneled doors.  We re-finished the floor to a dark mahogany throughout much of the condominium.  Except for the master bedroom, we kept the color palette light and colorful, taking advantage of the southern exposure of this condo.
